Not always. Light blur on large text can sometimes be reversed or guessed. For passwords, card numbers, addresses and ID numbers use Black box (fully removes the pixels) or a strong Pixelate. Blur is fine for faces in the background and for style.
Yes. The download is a fresh image drawn on a canvas, so camera details, date and GPS location stored in the original file are not copied. That makes it a quick way to clean a photo before you share it.
The export keeps the original width and height. PNG is lossless and best for screenshots. JPG is smaller and good for photos.
Some browsers (older Safari for example) do not support the canvas blur filter. The tool detects this and uses a soft pixel blur instead. Pixelate and Black box look the same everywhere.
