Quick answer

A link in bio SEO checker reads your bio link page the way Google and chat apps do and scores the basics: HTTPS, title, meta description, indexing, Open Graph and share image, structured data, speed and contact links. Paste any Linktree, Beacons or other public page above for a free score out of 100 with a fix for each problem.

What is a link in bio SEO checker?

A link in bio SEO checker is a tool that opens your bio link page (the one address you put on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube) and tests whether search engines and social apps can understand it. It looks at the same signals Google, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and AI assistants read: the page title, the meta description, robots rules, Open Graph tags, the share image, structured data and how fast the page answers.

Bio link SEO matters more than it seems. When someone searches your name or brand, your link in bio page is often one of the first results, and every time the link is shared in a chat, the preview card is built from these tags. A page with a missing title or a blank share image looks unfinished in both places, even if it looks fine on your phone.

This SEO checker gives one score out of 100, split into four categories, so you can see in a few seconds what to fix first.

How to check your link in bio SEO, step by step

  1. Paste your page address into the Page address box, for example linktr.ee/yourname, beacons.ai/yourname or biolinko.me/yourname. You can leave out https://.
  2. Tap Check SEO. The page is fetched once and analysed, which usually takes a few seconds.
  3. Read the score ring. 85 or more is strong, 60 to 84 is decent with clear wins left, and under 60 needs work.
  4. Look at the four category bars: Access and speed, Search results, Social sharing, and Content and links. A short bar shows where the lost points are.
  5. Use the filter chips. All shows every check, Needs work shows only warnings and fails, and Passed shows what is already right. Within each category, fails come first.
  6. Apply the fixes. Every warning or fail has a Fix line written in plain words, and every check has a line explaining how Biolinko handles it.
  7. Share or re-check. Copy result link copies an address with your page in it, so a client or teammate sees the same report. Check another page clears the box. Results are kept for one hour, so add ?v=2 to your address to re-test right after a change.

What the SEO checker tests: all 22 checks and their weight

Each check earns its full weight when it passes, half when it shows a warning and nothing when it fails. The weights add up to 100.

Does a Linktree or bio link page help SEO?

Yes, in a specific way. A link in bio page rarely ranks for broad topics, but it often ranks for your own name, handle or brand, and it is the page Google, chat apps and AI assistants see when they look you up. That makes three things matter most: that the page can be indexed, that the title and description say who you are, and that the share image and structured data are present.

Two things are often misunderstood:

  • The link in your Instagram or TikTok bio is not a ranking boost. Links in social media bios generally pass little or no ranking value to the page they point to. The benefit is people, not PageRank.
  • Nofollow links on your bio page are normal. Many link in bio tools mark outbound links as nofollow on free plans. Visitors can still tap them; search engines just do not count them as votes. If you want your own website or shop to get the credit, use a plan that keeps normal links.

Popular platforms, Linktree included, already add a title, Open Graph tags and structured data for you. What usually loses points is what you control: an empty bio (so a generic description is used), a name with no context, no contact link, or a page full of heavy embeds.

How to fix the most common bio link SEO issues

  • Write a descriptive name. "Ava" tells Google nothing. "Ava Moreno · Fitness coach in Pune" fits in a title and matches what people search.
  • Use your bio as the meta description. Most link in bio tools turn your bio into the description. Aim for one or two sentences, 70 to 160 characters: who you are, what you offer and where.
  • Make the share image count. A 1200 x 630 image with your face or logo and your name stands out in WhatsApp and LinkedIn. Our OG image generator makes one in your browser.
  • Add a way to contact you. One WhatsApp, call or email button turns a visitor into a conversation. The WhatsApp link generator builds the link.
  • Keep the page light. Lazy-load videos and maps, remove widgets nobody uses, and keep the list to the links that matter.
  • Check your tags after every big change. The meta tag generator previews how your link looks on Google, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack and iMessage.

Common link in bio SEO mistakes to avoid

  • Hiding the page by accident. A "hide from search engines" setting, a password or a draft status adds noindex. Useful for private pages, costly for your main one.
  • Redirect chains. A short link that redirects to a tracking link that redirects to your page adds a second or more on mobile data. Put the final address in your bio and QR codes.
  • A different name everywhere. Use the same name and photo on your bio page and your social profiles, and list those profiles (they appear as sameAs in structured data) so search engines connect them.
  • Links that only exist in JavaScript. If the checker finds no outbound links, your links may be drawn by scripts that crawlers do not always run.
  • Thirty links of equal weight. A long, flat list makes visitors scroll and dilutes every link. Lead with the three that matter this month.

For most creators, this checker plus the meta tag generator covers what a bio page needs. Business sites benefit from Search Console as well.

How the checker works and what it keeps

Unlike the other free tools on this site, this one needs a server, because browsers do not let one website read another website's HTML. When you tap Check SEO, our server fetches the single address you entered, identified as BioLinkoBot, without cookies or a login. It only opens public https or http addresses, refuses private and internal networks, follows at most 3 redirects, and stops after 5 seconds or 2 MB.

The result (not the page itself) is cached for one hour so a shared result link opens instantly and repeated checks do not hit your site again. Nothing is published, and the address you check is not added to any list.

Link in bio SEO on Biolinko

Biolinko pages are built to pass these checks without setup: HTTPS, a canonical tag, Open Graph and X tags, a generated 1200 x 630 share image, ProfilePage and Person structured data with your social profiles as sameAs, a single H1, self-hosted fonts and embeds that load only when tapped or scrolled near. Your name and bio become the title and description, so writing a clear bio is the main thing left to you. Moving from Linktree takes a minute with the import on the Linktree alternative page, and you can create a free page at biolinko.me/yourname and run it through this checker.

About this tool

85 or more is strong, 60 to 84 is decent with a few clear wins, and under 60 means something basic is missing, usually the description, share image or indexing. Fix the red items first; they carry the most weight.

Linktree pages include a title, Open Graph tags and structured data, so they usually score well on the technical basics. What you control is the name, the bio (used as the description) and which links you show. Run your Linktree through the checker to see your own result.

Yes, mostly for your own name, handle or brand. It needs to be indexable, have a descriptive title and bio, and ideally list your social profiles so search engines connect them to you.

Yes. It reads the title, meta description, canonical, robots, Open Graph and twitter: tags of any public page and tells you which are missing. To write or preview tags, use the meta tag generator.

It reads the HTML your server sends. If your links are added later by JavaScript, they are not in that HTML, and some crawlers will not see them either. Pages that render links as normal <a href> tags avoid this.

No. It is the time our server took to receive your HTML, including redirects, which is a rough guide to server speed. PageSpeed Insights loads the full page in a browser and reports Core Web Vitals.

Up to 20 new pages per hour from one connection. Results for the same address are reused for an hour and do not count against that.

1200 x 630 pixels (1.91:1), JPG or PNG, linked with an absolute https:// address in og:image. Keep your face or logo near the centre, because some apps crop it to a square. The OG image generator makes one.

Each of the 22 checks has a weight, and the weights add up to 100. A pass earns the full weight, a warning earns half and a fail earns nothing. Indexing, title, meta description and the share image carry the most weight because they decide whether and how your page shows up.

No. Our server fetches the page once, as BioLinkoBot, and keeps only the result for one hour so a shared link loads instantly. The HTML is not stored and nothing is published.

Browsers do not let one website read another website's HTML, so the check has to run on a server. It reads only the one public address you enter, follows at most 3 redirects, and gives up after 5 seconds or 2 MB.

Yes. Any public web page works: a homepage, a landing page or a product page. The checks are the basics every page needs, with tips written for link in bio pages.

Results are cached for one hour per address. Add a harmless query such as ?v=2 to the end of the address to check the new version right away.
