What should an author put in their link in bio?
- Your newest book, first, with the cover and buy links for the stores your readers use.
- Your newsletter. It is the one audience no algorithm can take away, and the best predictor of launch-week sales.
- Your backlist, in reading order if it is a series.
- Events: signings, festival talks, launches and online readings.
- For press and organisers: a media kit, author photo, bio and a contact form.

Tips for author link in bio pages
- One book on top. Readers coming from a post about your new book should not have to look for it.
- Give the newsletter a reason. “Free bonus chapter” or “cover reveals first” works far better than “Subscribe to my newsletter”.
- Schedule launch day (Pro). Show the countdown until release, then switch to buy links automatically at midnight.
- Answer reader questions in a FAQ block: reading order, audiobook, signed copies, translations.
- Track which store gets clicks in your analytics, and tag links with the UTM Builder if you also run a website.
- Need a media kit? The Media Kit Generator helps you put one together.
- Selling ebooks or signed copies directly? See how to sell digital products on Instagram.
QR codes for book signings and the back of your book
Make a QR code of your page with the free QR Code Generator and print it on bookmarks, signing-table posters, postcards and the author page at the back of your book. Readers who finish the book can join your newsletter and find the next one in a few seconds, and the code stays useful when you release new books.
Can your author page appear when readers search your name?
Published Biolinko pages are open to search engines by default. The page title and bio appear in search results, and ProfilePage structured data links the page to your social profiles. List in directory also adds it to the public directory and sitemap. Title the page with your author name and your page can show up for searches of that name, although no one can promise it will rank. You can hide a page from search in its settings.
Where Biolinko is not the right fit for authors
- It does not send newsletters. The Email signup and Lead magnet blocks collect subscribers; Pro exports them as CSV for your newsletter tool.
- No physical book sales or shipping. Link to stores. Ebooks and PDFs can be sold with the Pro Product block (Razorpay, India), or link to your existing ebook store.
- No universal book links that detect a reader's country store. Use separate store buttons, or link to a universal book link service.
Pro is $5/month (₹299 in India) and adds Lead magnet, Testimonial, Product, scheduling and CSV export.
